Spider-Man Remastered now connects Steam to PSN Accounts
A new update has been released for Spider-Man Remastered on PC to allow players to link their Steam and PlayStation Network accounts. Shortly after it was released on PC this year, dataminers discovered PSN connection references hidden in the code. This has led to a lot of speculation and this new update is fueling it.
Sony’s PC registration page suggests that other PlayStation games will be getting the same treatment. It states that players can receive unlocks in “other PlayStation Studios games” in addition to Spider-Man Remastered. The page also mentions creating a Sony account which could mean Sony intends to allow PC gamers to make accounts without owning a PlayStation console.
It’s unclear what PlayStation Studios games on PC will be given similar functionality. The image from the PC registration website includes Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, which releases for PC this month, God of War, and Days Gone.
