Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage the next game in the franchise?

According to various leaks, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will take the series “back to basics” when it releases next year. The game will be smaller-scale and more stealth-focused than many of the recent additions to the series.

The latest leak has come from YouTuber j0nathan, which has been backed up by a report from Bloomberg earlier this year. In February, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier revealed that Ubisoft was working on a new Assassin’s Creed game which began life as a game expansion.

Jason Schreier has also posted to Twitter about the new leak from j0nathan and states that parts of it are true. He notes that the name is correct, but there are parts of the ‘leak’ which are not correct, such as there being “multiple cities to explore”.

If Assassin’s Creed Mirage releases next year, it will most likely be revealed during the Ubisoft Forward event in September.
